‘Herbarium’ is the most recent spin on the ongoing series ‘You Can Learn a Lot of Things From the Flowers’.

 

Still developing the idea of cut out vintage erotic centerfolds, ‘Herbarium’ continues to mimic the formal appearance of classic botanical illustration as found in many museum collections and home wall décor.

 

The three dimensional quality of the box frame that was the trademark of the original series is here replaced by the look and tactile feel of a page out of a book. With the addition of detailed graphic elements: ornamental stamp, framing line and hand written scientific name of the depicted plant, ‘Herbarium’ simulates the characteristics of the quintessential botanical portfolio.
